The benefits of practicing gratitude are so rich that a whole year should be dedicated to this strength. It is one of the strengths most associated with life satisfaction, happiness, achievement, building better relationships and improvements in psychological and physical health. It’s not quite a panacea…but close. The end of the year is a great time to take stock of the goodness in your life. At the end of each day write down a few things that you are grateful for. This simple exercise has been shown to boost happiness and decrease depression for up to 6 months! What better way to make the holidays merry and bright!?

This 5-week course is based on Brene Brown's research based curriculum The Daring Way TM. Her program incorporates academic studies and outcomes on courage, vulnerability, shame and worthiness.
This 16-hour workshop is being offered for $495 (cost includes supplies and light refreshments and five weeks of instruction).

Our next 8-week bereavement groups will begin Tuesday, September 12th with a day (10:30 - 11:45) and evening group (6:30 - 7:45) for those experiencing the death of a loved one. We will also have a 8-week group for moms who have had a child die beginning Monday, September 11th with a day group (10:30 - 11:45) and an evening group (6:30 - 7:45).
Groups are 8 weeks ($150) and are facilitated by a licensed therapist. These specific groups will be facilitated by Becky Andrews, LCMHC. To join one of these groups, contact Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org.
