Kathryn Reynolds, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), earned her master’s degree in MFT from Brigham Young University in 2014. As an undergraduate, she worked with teen girls with emotional and learning disabilities such as Non-Verbal Learning Disability (NVLD) and Asperger Syndrome. She taught various social skills courses to help them with their life goals.
Kathryn has experience working with a variety of individuals of all ages – including children in play therapy, teens, and adults as well as couples (both pre-marital and marital), families and groups. She values and utilizes many models of therapy but primarily uses Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients recognize their inherent strengths and overall resilience when facing life’s challenges. She also loves working with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to effectively address any pain or distress that exists in intimate relationships.
Her thesis study revolved around women with an anxiety disorder and has personal experience with this as well. She has worked with clients dealing with depression, sexual abuse/incest, relational conflict, chronic illness, pornography addictions (including spouses of those with the addiction), grief and loss, and trauma related issues.
She feels deeply about helping people resolve their struggles and desires to work together as a ‘team’ for increased quality of life – to create healing and THRIVE!
